Student Speaker Instructions

Dear Student Speakers and Leaders,
Greetings from Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad!


We are delighted to announce that the 14th Annual Conclave of Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad (Indian Students’ Parliament) will take place on 8th, 9th, and 10th February 2025 at MIT World Peace University, Kothrud, Pune, Maharashtra.

 
Your unwavering support has been the cornerstone of BCS’s success, and as always, your participation is vital to making this conclave a grand event. The upcoming 14th BCS will feature four insightful sessions, addressing issues of national and international significance.


Opportunity to Become a Student Speaker!


We are thrilled to offer you a platform to voice your opinions as a Student Speaker during the conclave. Each session will provide an opportunity for selected students to present their views through a 3-minute speech.

Student Speaker Selection Process

To participate as a Student Speaker, follow these steps:

1. Register for the 15th BCS
    Registration Link

2. Record Your Speech

Prepare and record a 3-minute speech on any one of the provided topics.

3. Choose Your Topic From The Below Options:

  1. Bharat’s Constitution: The Basic Structure Doctrine

  2. Constitutional Nationalism: Unity, Integrity & Brotherhood

  3. Fundamental Rights and Fundamental Duties of Citizens

  4. Role & Powers  of Parliament and State Legislatures 

  5. From Campus to Cabinet: Can Universities Become the Nurseries of Democracy?

  6. Constructing Swaraj through the Panchayati Raj

  7. Gender Equality: Leadership, Policies, Governance

  8. From Stadium to Statesmanship: What Can Politics Learn from Sports?

  9. AI: How Will It Impact Democracy, Leadership, Governance & Public Policy

  10. Digital Governance and Policy Implementation

  11. Climate Governance for Sustainable Development

  12. Welfare Politics, Populism, and Policy Choices 

  13. Viksit Bharat 2047: Challenges Ahead 

  14. Bharat: Can Tradition and Transformation Co-exist?

  15. Citizen Partnership in Policy Making and Governance 

  16. World Peace: Indian Thoughts & Actions

4. Submit Your Application


Step 1: Fill out the mandatory Google Form using the following link: https://forms.gle/qqoYzmCHAX3HTTRA9


Step 2: After submitting the form, email your recorded speech to sog@mitwpu.edu.in before 25 January 2025.

Please include the following details in your email:

  • Your Email

  • Your Name

  • Selected Topic

  • BCS Registration Number

  • Mobile/Contact Number


Make sure to complete the Google Form and email submission to ensure your application is processed successfully.

5. Auditions in Pune
Shortlisted students will be invited for an audition at MIT School of Government, MIT World Peace University Campus, Pune on 5, 6, or 7th February 2025.

 

6. Final Selection
The list of selected student speakers will be announced on the evening of 7th February 2025.

Special Appeal to Previous Student Speakers

We warmly invite student speakers from the 1st to the 14th BCS to participate in the 15th BCS. Previous speakers are encouraged to apply to present their views once again.

To apply, follow the same process as outlined above. In your email’s subject line, mention: "Previous Student Speaker Application."
